Our storytelling

Founded in Lille, North Island draws its inspiration from the city’s iconic history. Lille was once nicknamed “North Island” because of its location on a natural island, surrounded by marshes and bisected by the Deûle River.

At the heart of our logo, the fleur-de-lis stands majestically, a timeless emblem of Lille and a symbol of enduring elegance. A true icon of tradition and prestige, it embodies the excellence and refinement that define the very essence of North Island.

2023

Naissance de la marque

Pierre-Jean LE BARBIER fonde North Island, porté par une vision d'un haut de gamme local, inspirée par ses passions comme le golf, le tennis et le ski.

2024

Développement du vestiaire

North Island élargit son vestiaire avec l’arrivée des t-shirts, sweatshirts, doudounes hivernales et même sac en cuir.

Winter 2025

Renforcement de la fabrication locale

North Island développe sa production locale avec un nouvel atelier à Lille, France et consolide son savoir-faire européen.

Summer 2025

Collaboration Le Touquet

Collaboration avec Le Touquet Tennis Club, club prestigieux où a joué Rafael Nadal, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Holger Rune, Yannick Noah, et même Jean Borotra pour les plus anciens.

Fall 2025

Collaboration Golf de Bondues

Collaboration prestigieuse avec le Golf de Bondues, réalisé en 1968 par le célèbre architecte Robert Trent Jones Sr.
